MORP updates for Thursday and Friday! We had to make some adjustments to our Thursday and Friday activities for MORP. The dress up day for Thursday is Wear bright colors and patterns in honor of Mrs. Wright. On Friday, we will crown our MORP King and Queen between the JV Boys and Varsity Girls games! After the basketball games the high schoolers will celebrate the end of MORP week until 9 in the high school.

Please join us for a Family Bingo Benefit, supporting the Wright Family. Feb 15th at 5 pm, at the Edgemont School.

Because of the road conditions this morning, FFA is going to push back their leave time to Black Hills Stock Show until 8 AM.

Today was a good day. It was not an easy day, but it was a good day. We will continue to work through our grief together here at school. We know this is going to be a long process, but it is a process we will move forward with. Hello Mogul Family, We spent the day together, grieving. Our efforts will continue to be centered on providing care, guidance, and a sense of routine to help everyone cope as we navigate this difficult time of grief. As we continue with school and as normal a schedule as we can moving forward, we will continue to offer counseling support as needed. Please continue to hold your loved ones close and to show love and grace to each other and yourselves. Today, our school experienced the tragic loss of a beloved teacher. We are focused on supporting our students and each other during this difficult time. Our efforts are centered on providing care, guidance, and a sense of routine to help everyone cope. As students return to school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29, there will be some schedule changes, and counselors will be available to offer support as needed. We believe the best way to heal is by coming together as a community to support our students and one another. Attached, please find some helpful tips for supporting grief in children and in supporting caregivers.

Join us for a Chili and Soup Fundraiser for the Junior Class on Friday, January 31st from 3pm to 7pm (until supplies last). There will be chilies, soups, and cinnamon rolls to enjoy while you cheer on our Mogul Basketball teams! There will be a free will donation and all proceeds will go to the Junior Class fund. The fundraiser will be located in the cafeteria. Hope to see you there!

The middle school wrestlers will have a pizza party in Mr. Ling's room tonight about 5:30. Please bring your gear to turn it in!

Hi Mogul basketball fans! We have some updates to our basketball schedule this week. Tuesday, Jan. 21: HS BB will play in Morrill, NE, for the first round of PAC Tournament action. JHBB will play in Crawford, NE, at 3:00 (not 4:00). Wednesday, Jan. 22: The Lady Moguls have a bye, but the rest of the PAC girls will have their first round of PAC action. The games are rescheduled from Monday due to the extreme cold temperatures. Thursday, Jan. 23: JHBBB play at home vs. Hermosa, 4:00. Friday, Jan. 24: PAC action continues in Crawford. Boys game time depends on whether we win or lose on Tuesday. Girls play at 1:30. Saturday, Jan. 25: PAC action completes in Crawford. Tournament games begin at 9:00. Mogul-specific games depend on wins/losses on Friday. Please check the tournament brackets.

Hello Moguls, The West River Tournament basketball games we were scheduled to play today have been canceled due to our opponents pulling out of the tournament. Competition will commence tomorrow, Saturday, at the Ice arena in Rapid City. As soon as I have times for those games, I will share them. Best of luck to our teams as they advance in the tournament!!

Good Morning Basketball fans! We have an update about the Middle School boys basketball game next Tuesday the 21st in Crawford. The game will start at 3pm. Hope to see everyone there!

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we couldn't agree more. Edgemont School offers a healthy breakfast for all students from 7:30am until 7:50am Monday- Thursday.

Best of luck to our high school basketball teams as they compete in the West River Basketball Tournament. Join us in cheering on our girls playing against Upton in the first round on Tuesday, January 14, in Hot Springs at 5:30. Our boys will also play Upton in their first round in Hot Springs on Thursday, January 16 at 5:30.

Hi MS Mogul basketball players! Middle school boys basketball practice will begin Monday, January 6, right after school. Join us in the gym! Parents, there will be a parent meeting immediately after, approximately 5:20, in Mr. Long's room.

Happy New Year, Mogul Nation! The games we had scheduled against Bison tomorrow will be rescheduled for February 15. The weather does not look conducive for safe travels tomorrow. We'll see everyone on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for our varsity-only HSGBB and HSBBB against Crazy Horse at 5:00. Next Saturday, Jan. 11, our boys will be playing again at home against Sioux County. Our junior high boys play at 10:00, the high school boys play at 1:00.
