A Hunt Safe class will be offered at the school on Friday, All DAY, April 15th. The class is open for students 12 years of age and older or students turning 12 before December 31, 2022. Sign up instructions are in the office. Stop by and pick one up if you are interested.
St. Council carnival is Thursday, April 28th. Sponsors for grades 6-12, please start planning what booths you want to do.
Our student council was recognized and awarded a plaque as an Outstanding Student Council in South Dakota. It's great when our learners are recognized at a state level for what our community already knows!

Great job to our actors, crew, bakers, and all involved in this production!
There is never a dull moment around here! The Spanish class showed off their fashion sense, describing their wardrobe choices using their newly acquired Spanish vocabulary.
Everyone is getting ready for the production of our spring play, Chateau LeRoach! Please come enjoy the artistry of our actors and the artistry of our bakers with a dessert bar being served during intermission! Performances are Thursday, March 31, and Friday. April 1, both evenings at 7:00.
Our own Raelee Provorse recently accepted the honors of winning the local Patriot's Pen Contest. Bill Barlow from the local VFW post presented the award.
Raelee's essay had the theme "How Can I Be a Good American" and was chosen as the winner at the local VFW Post. Her entry will move on in the national competition.
Congratulations Raelee, and thank you for your insight and demonstration of the characteristics of a great American!

Yesterday we celebrated the 100th day of school with a concert and by playing 100 instruments together!

Due to the weather, Edgemont School will be starting at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 22. Stay warm! Also, please make sure your students come to school with their winter boots, coats, and gloves.
First day of STARBASE!
A huge shout-out to all of our local ag producers and those who support them! Our Beef to School program is one that I am particularly proud to be a part of! This $1,000 donation from the Fall River County Ag Banquet Committee will pay for the processing fees of the last two head of beef that are now in our freezer. One beef was donated by Randy and Diane Stevens and the other was donated by Mark and Karla Weldon.
The varsity boys' and girls' basketball teams will be playing at Chadron State College for the 2nd round of the Panhandle Athletic Conference tournament on Thursday, January 20th. Boys will play Hemingford at 3:45, the girls will play Sioux County at 5:30. Hemingford will stream the games from their YouTube page--link at the bottom of their school website homepage.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, December 2nd. No school for K-5 students and 6-12 students will be released at 2pm. 6-12 conferences start at 4pm, K-5 conferences are all day and you should receive a reserved time for your student(s).
