High School Visual Art students participated in Chadron State College's Annual Art Day on November 7th. They joined about 100 students from surrounding area schools in various workshops led by CSC art students and faculty. Students created work in printmaking, architecture, clay, painting, drawing, design and other media. This was a great opportunity to expand their creative skills, interact with other students from other schools who are also interested in art, and learn more about the Art program offered at CSC.

The upper level 3s completed their fossil unit today by created a sink hole simulation showing how an animal such as a mammoth could get stuck in a sink hole.
The Primary class shared their research on the Shoshone, the Apache, and the Cherokee. They learned about food, homes, clothing, and a leader from each group.
Don't forget about the student safety presentation, "The Science of Addiction," tonight (November 6) at 5:30 in the multi-purpose room. We'll have sloppy joes to eat during while we listen to our speaker.

Spanish class recently transformed our Middle School Workroom into a Spanish Cafe inspired by Starbucks! Our talented Spanish 1 students became baristas for a day, offering Spanish Lattes, Fruit smoothies, Horchata, and Mexican Hot Chocolate. 🍵🥤🍪 The menu featured a fusion of Starbucks coffee drinks and flavors from Spanish-speaking countries. Students could also savor Dulce de Leche cookies and Mexican Wedding cookies with their drinks. All the treats and drinks were selected by and crafted from scratch by the Spanish 1 students: John, Keaton, Allie, Raelee, and Madalynn. 🍪🇲🇽 Visitors enjoyed some board games, delicious treats, and great company! ☕️#SpanishCafeDay #CoffeeLovers #CulturalFusion #MightyMoguls #LayingTheTracks #FullSteamAhead
Please join us in our third in a series of presentations on Student Safety relating to drug use. This week's talk will be on The Science of Addiction. Come learn about the definitions of addiction/dependency, how treatment and modern views have evolved, and how the brain changes to create the behaviors we see as addiction/dependency.
