Do you want some extra steps in your day and some time alone to listen to a podcast, some music, or just meditate while cleaning? Apply for our custodial position (20 hours per week).
Do you like connecting with students of all ages, but don't want to commit to a daily schedule? Apply to be a substitute at our school.
Do you like attending sporting events, music events, field trips of all kinds? Apply to be a bus driver at our school. Having a CDL is a bonus for us but is not required.

They say time flies when you are having fun, and if that is true, then this school year has been the best one yet. I can’t wait to see the accomplishments of our learners in the second semester. They have amazed me with all their demonstrations of learning in the first semester, and I am confident the second one will be even better.
I do want to address any concerns that may have arisen after the news that a resident of Edgemont is a suspect in a recent child abduction in Indiana. Please know that our school district has safety measures in place to ensure a secure environment for our students. We also regularly work in collaboration with the South Dakota School Safely Center and local law enforcement to review and strengthen safety protocols. We work to implement those protocols that are identified as best practices by school safety experts, law enforcement professionals, school administrators and mental health professionals.
The most important piece of keeping our students safe is the vigilance of our school staff, our parents, our students, and our community. This vigilance plays a vital role in maintaining a safe environment. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the authorities. This is my favorite part of living in a small community—we look out for each other and our kids.
