This week, the Sophomore Geography class analyzed pieces of art throughout history to try to gain insight into the culture and geography of the people who created it. They had some great insights and learned a lot about how little details reveal a lot about a society.
P.S. If you see them, ask them about what Godzilla represents. They should understand.

We have had a few cases of head lice reported at school, so we wanted to send out a quick reminder to families to be aware and check heads at home.
Head lice are an unfortunate but pretty normal part of having a lot of kids in close proximity to one another. They are not a sign of poor hygiene, and there is no need to panic or be embarrassed.
When we find lice or nits at school, we check the student, contact the family, and send home a care kit to help with treatment. We also take additional steps here at school, including treating classroom spaces and monitoring for additional cases.
For now, we simply ask families to check their children’s hair and keep an eye out for lice or nits. If you find something, please let us know so we can continue to monitor and address it at school as well.
And while we’re talking about the joys of putting a whole bunch of people in one building together, cold and flu season is also right around the corner. This is a good time for all of us to get back in the habit of frequent hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when we have a fever.
Lice, colds, and all the other little things that come with a school full of people are manageable. A little awareness and prevention from all of us goes a long way!
